His latest film SAY SALAAM INDIA came and went without created any sort of whimper whatsoever. Understandably so since the release timing was all wrong and anything to do with cricket was a strict no-no. Moving on in his life and looking forward to the release of his upcoming films, lead actor Sanjay Suri sounds hopeful. ‘I have two completed films currently, KABHI UP KABHI DOWN and ANUBHAV. Most likely it would be KABHI UP KABHI DOWN to be arriving first; somewhere in May or June. Errr, isn’t a little risky to do so considering both May and June are stuffed with multiple releases due to post World Cup finals period? ‘Arrey bhai kabhi to film release karni hi hai naa’, he jokes, ‘One can’t wait forever. There are small films and there are big films. One can’t be waiting all the time for the big films to go away and make a space for a film like KABHI UP KABHI DOWN.’ But doesn’t it sound a little suicidal? ‘Not necessarily, we have seen worse fate of some of the bigger movies’, he says with a wink, ‘Even if one doesn’t stretch too far and just look at some of the movies that came with so much of noise this year and disappeared without making any impression, you would know what I mean. Point taken Sanjay.
